See the same view on a Ridgway bowl.    The soup tureen under tray found in this series is printed with Almshouse, Boston.  The hospital was started mainly through efforts of Franklin. It was opened in 1751 as a home. The building shown was erected in sections, the east wing in 1755, the west wing in 1796, and the center in 1804. The hospital was between Pine and Spruce Streets and Eighth and Ninth Streets.
