Description:

This platter shows a view of the Dam and Water Works at Fair Mount, Philadelphia, the second Water Works of Philadelphia showing the new Schuylkill buildings and the Dam.  The oval printed mark shown was used by both periods of Stubbs' potting, under Stubbs alone, or under the term  of Stubbs & Kent from 1822 to 1830.  This platter, however, is unusual in that it has both the oval printed mark used by Stubbs as well as the impressed name mark, STUBBS.
