Description:

In view of the fact that there are, at most, only two of these known to exist, this cup plate, which is a partial view of the full scene of the Charleston Exchange, is exceedingly rare.  If one compares the scene to Stevenson's full view the conclusion is that it was made by the same potter, Ralph Stevenson and is part of his Vine Border Series.
