Description:

This teapot depicts the version of this scene with Washington, his horse and a groom on the front lawn of Mount Vernon (the seat of the late Gen'l Washington).  The border is simply large flowers.  The Potomac River is in the background.  See similar view by Ridgway, entitled  Mount Vernon Nr Washington.  Enoch Wood has a shell border version with similar view with two sets of couples on the lawn (see the Ridgway and Wood versions in this exhibit).
