Boston State House - Maker Unknown

Pattern Category: Places

Object Type: Wares for Coffee and Tea

Dimensions:

  • Length: 6 inches

Description:

This covered sugar bowl shows yet another view of the Boston State House. This piece is by a yet unknown maker, although it has a border similar to  the Stubbs full blown rose border on that maker's City Hall, NY piece (also in this exhibit).  However, the known Stubbs version has a double fence line in the back whereas this and the Rogers versions have a single fence line.  Also, note there are no people in this view.
