Description:

The pattern on this plate is identical to that shown on Niagara #1  except for the four small medallions inserted into the Rose Border.  This version of the pattern also includes an insert at the bottom of the pattern depicting the Erie Canal with a View of the Aqueduct Bridge at Rochester.  The smaller size of the medallions, compared to Niagara #3, in this exhibit allows the view of the falls to be seen. In addition to the different sized medallions, the view bears the three different Erie Canal inserts, Rochester, Albany and Little Falls.
