This 18.5 inch platter shows the Esplanade at Castle Garden, NY.  Esplanade was the name given to the walkways around the southern end of Castle Garden.  That area was used by Clews, Wood and Stevenson for a number of views, including the Battery in NY, the Landing of La Fayette, Flagstaff Pavilion, etc.
