Description:

Here a tureen undertray illustrates the arms of the state of Connecticut.   The depiction of three grapevines commemorates the original plantations (Hartford, Windsor and Weathersfield) that made up the colony of Connecticut.  The state motto, Qui transtulit sustinet, or he that transplanted (the vines) sustains them - testifies to the settlers' assurance of God's faithfulness.
