Description:

The pattern on this wash pitcher is known on at least five pitcher forms including this one.  The others can also be seen in this exhibit.    It is also known on a washbowl, and a chamber pot with cover. The proper bowl to this set would have one of the three views of the Erie Canal used by Wood.  All three exist in bowl form.
